NOTE: THE ABOVE CLASSES MARKED WITH AND (*) ARE BEING ADDED TO OUR SCHEDULE FOR NCHA CHALLENGER SERIES. PLEASE REFER TO NCHA WEBSITE AT WWW.NCHACUTTING.COM TO REVIEW CLASS DESCRIPTIONS TO DETERMINE WHICH CLASSES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO RIDE IN.

NCHA APPROVED SHOWS: PROOF OF NCHA MEMBERSHIP AND A COPY OF EACH HORSE’S REGISTRATION PAPERS MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE SHOW SECRETARY AT THE TIME OF ARRIVAL. THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION CAN BE AS SIMPLE AS A PHOTO COPY OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD OVERLAID ON THE HORSE’S PAPERS. BOTH RIDER AND HORSE OWNER MUST BE NCHA AND CRCC MEMBERS TO COMPETE IN CRCC PRODUCED NCHA SHOWS.

THE CLASSES LISTED BELOW ARE NON NCHA CLASSES AND ARE STILL LISTED IN OUR SHOW SCHEDULE:

Ranch Horse Open
Any Horse/ Any Rider
No limit on money won for horse or rider.
Horse does not have to be rider owned.
This is a one (1) or two (2) handed class, some schooling is allowed. The horse exhibiting the least amount of help from the rider will receive the most credit from the judge.
No penalty points for reining. No martingales or training devices allowed. Snaffle bits are okay.
This class is opened to anyone. Please do not abuse the integrity of this class, this class is for horses that are not finished cutting horses. Horses that do not fit this criteria will be removed from the class, after being voted on by board members.

Ranch Horse Novice Non Pro
Same Horse/Same Rider
Horse does not have to be rider owned
This is a one (1) or two (2) handed class, some schooling is allowed. The horse exhibiting the least amount of help from the rider will receive the most credit from the judge.
No penalty points for reining. No martingales or training devices allowed. Snaffle bits okay.
No trainers allowed.
This class is intended for a Novice Non Pro
Please do not abuse the integrity of this class, this class is for horses that are not finished cutting horses. Horses that do not fit this criteria will be removed from the class, after being voted on by board members

500 Novice Rider
Any Horse
Horse does not have to be rider owned.

IMPORTANT NOTES and DEFINITIONS

  1. PROFESSIONAL or TRAINER – Any person who takes or has taken money or any consideration for the training or showing of a cutting horse.
  2. NON-PROFESSIONAL – Any person, who has not shown, trained or assisted in training cutting horse(s) and/or cutting horse rider(s) for remuneration – either directly or indirectly.
  3. NOVICE – Any person who has not shown, trained, or assisted in training cutting horse(s) and/or cutting horse rider(s) for remuneration – either directly or indirectly or apprenticed under a professional or trainer without earning any money.
  4. AGE LIMIT – is effective January 1 of the current year (i.e. a youth who is 19 years old on May 1 will still be eligible to show as a Youth until the end of the current show year).
  5. JACKPOT PAYOUT SCHEDULE
  6. NO JACKPOT on YOUTH or PRACTICE classes.
